For obvious reasons, all cats at Casa Meow must be either spayed or neutered. Any cat over the age of 6 months will need to be altered prior to entering the hotel. If you need advice or have questions in this regard, we would be happy to assist you.
Payment for all services is due upon commencement. Casa Meow reserves the right to refuse any sits or boards, regardless of reservation, if payment is not made up front.
Veterinary ServicesWe use the services of The Bayview Village Veterinary Clinic (Dr. Eric Ginsberg) and, in emergency situations, The Emergency Clinic. In the unlikely event your cat requires veterinary care while in our supervision, the services will be billed to you exactly as they are billed to us. There will be a $10.00 fee for transporting your cat to/from the vet.
We have the space to keep cats from the same family together - or alternatively, to keep a cat which requires private boarding, on its own. Special fees, if required, will be discussed in advance - although discounts may apply to multiple cats or long-term stays.
Casa Meow is currently feeding one of the following brands: Wellness, Nutrience, Eagle Pack (both wet and dry). These are very high quality foods. We also keep a supply of most of the standard foods (i.e. IAMS, Nutro, Eukanuba). If you wish to bring your own food you may do so. If your cat is on a prescription diet, you will be required to supply enough food for the duration of its stay.
We are happy to administer oral medication to your cats while they stay with us. For most oral medication, there is a nominal charge of $2.50 per pilling. Intravenous medications can be administered for $15.00 per injection.
We go to great lengths to ensure that our facility remain flea and mite free. All cats entering Casa Meow will be given a visual inspection for fleas and mites and, if found necessary, will be treated with Advantage. The cost of the treatment will be added to your bill upon check-out. Ear Mites will be treated with Revolution. If you are in doubt as to whether or not your cat is carrying fleas or mites, you may wish to treat it prior to arrival.
All cats must be transported in a proper cat carrier. This will ensure the safety of the cat. We supply all bedding, dishes, toys and food. If you are brining a familiar item (i.e. blanket) please ensure that your name is prominently affixed in permanent marker. We prefer that you take carriers with you, however if you need to leave your carrier here with us, please make sure your name is prominently marked on your carrier.
It is common veterinary knowledge that you can never be too careful when it comes to hygiene in the boarding of cats. We go to great lengths to ensure the highest level of sanitation throughout our facilities. There are a number of contagious cat diseases that can be transferred through fecal material and saliva. We therefore thoroughly disinfect all litter boxes, litter scoops, food bowls, and all accommodations to maintain the highest levels of hygiene possible. Though each of our guests are allowed to wander around our facilities several times a day, as a key part of our hygienic practice, we never allow cats that are not from the same family to wander freely with any other cats without the specific written approval of the cat's owners. While cat's are allowed to wonder freely the majority of the time, all cat's will eat in their own accommodation. This will enable us to monitor the cat's ingestion and to be assured that they are eliminating without difficulty.
It is recommended that during peak seasons of July, August and December, you book as early as possible. Payment for the service is due upon commencement. Cancellations made within 48 hours of service commencement are subject to a $20 cancellation fee.
Christmas is the only day of the year where sits will be less than the requisite 45 minutes and there is no guaranty (with the exception of cats requiring timed medications) of time arrival. Due to the volume of sits on Christmas day, we attempt to cater to as many cats as possible.
Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the first day of service will not incur any fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of service commencement are subject to a $20 cancellation fee.
"No Shows" are held responsible for the entire invoice amount.
We welcome most special needs cats. Please feel free to discuss your cat's requirements at the time of booking.
